For Mac OS X 10+ systems try using sudo command line utility while logged in as admin user.
4 .Disable Firewall/Antivirus Software Temporarily:
Firewalls and antivirus programs can sometimes interfere with remote connections by blocking certain ports used by Teamviewer so it might help disabling them temporarily until the connection has been established successfully.
In Windows 7/8 click Start Menu -> Control Panel-> System & Security->Windows Firewall -> Turn off windows firewall (not recommended). On Mac OS X 10+ system use System Preferences->Security & Privacy->Firewall tab ->Turn Off Firewall button.
Sometimes reinstalling team viewer completely could help resolve some conflicts between different versions of this program installed on two machines being connected together via teamviewer session so uninstalling old version of team viewer before installing new one might help fix such kind of issue in case nothing else worked out above mentioned steps..
